Getting Started with QGIS

In this workshop, attendees will gain hands-on experience using QGIS, a free and open-source geographic information system (GIS). Using data from the City of San Antonio Open Data portal, participants will learn how to add GeoJSON, CSV, and shapefiles as layers, manage projections using a Coordinate Reference System (CRS), and build a static story map using the QStoryMap plugin. Finally, we will publish the project to the web via GitHub Pages. Note: A GitHub profile is required to participate in the publishing step.
