JJ Lopez

JJ Lopez was interviewed on February 12, 2026, at Trinity University’s KRTU 91.7 FM radio station. He spoke with us about his 30‑year career as a DJ in San Antonio, beginning in the early rave and house scene. JJ recalled spinning at house parties, warehouses, the Cameo Theatre, and The Davenport. He also shared his significant connection to Tucker’s Kozy Korner, which became a pivotal home base where he built a fresh lineup of emerging DJs and developed a successful formula that kept the party thriving for a decade.
