Conjunto Mismo Sol

Bandmates and lifelong friends Jose Villaseñor and Joey Lopez were interviewed on November 21, 2025, at their band practice space. They shared the story behind the music and the friendship that built Conjunto Mismo Sol, a southside‑born conjunto group. Jose and Joey talked about meeting in high school and growing from garage rehearsals to performing at Fiesta events, Market Square, church festivals, and community events across the city. Rooted in classic conjunto and Tejano sounds, they explained how their musical style draws inspiration from legendary artists such as Ramón Ayala, Max Baca, and Esteban/Steve Jordan.
