Chas Morales

Chas Morales, chef-owner of Vicious Eats was interviewed on October 21, 2025, at the eatery inside the Wonderland Mall of the Americas located at 4522 Fredericksburg Road. Chas describes discovering San Antonio’s punk and LGBTQ club scenes as a teen in the late 80s/early 90s, finding community in venues like Showcase, Wild Club, Paper Moon, and the Bonham Exchange. She recalls a tight-knit, vibrant culture of local punk bands, drag shows, and hangouts that fostered strong sense of community within the underground scene.
