It will cover OS techniques that are essential foundations for programming in any major programming language, but with a focus on foundations for programming in Python. We will cover files and file systems, how your computer "thinks about" the file locations and how to move them efficiently, reading file properties, essential OS utilities, how to use the command line to manage files, and how to troubleshoot some common problems. This workshop will focus on the Windows OS, including effective use of the File Explorer and Command Prompt, major utilities such as Notepad and Task Manager, and the Windows file system.
