Intro to Python, Part II: Get set up with Python and gain practical experience with popular tools
Group Spot B
This workshop is a basic technical introduction to Python aimed at non-technical audiences with no prior knowledge of programming. Attendees will be assisted in installing Python on their computers and downloading and installing popular tools for Python programming, such as Anaconda Navigator, Jupyter Notebooks, and PyCharm IDE. We will then go through an example of identifying useful Python code, how to run it, and how to inspect and save the code output. This is not an introduction to programming. Instead, the workshop will emphasize processes and environments and how to leverage popular AI tools to help understand code samples.
